Tested, seems to be working with Youtube, Neutron Amp and DI.fm so far.

Thanks for posting this and thanks to Phascinate for doing what LG likely wouldn't. All without having to root my phone!

DAC Fix is official:

Confirmed DAC Fix works with UAPP (set to output to Android) and with JetAudio Music Player (which has an overwhelming amount of fun customizations). Both apps have FULL folder browsing which solves another V10 problem. Also, unlike UAPP, Jet shows up as a media player on the second screen.

V10 is now the first Android device with a high-end dac chip that can work in ALL apps.

Just got my 200GB card from the LG rebate today too!

Past couple of days have been a blessing including seeing the new Star Wars.

Which extension cable are you using? Is it enabling hifi on lower ohm headphones?

I'm using cheap 3ft extension cable just to see if it worked and it did so now I'll find a shorter nicer cable
My denons are 32 ohm does great

Sounds great:grinning:. If you don't mind could you pm me where I can purchase one of those cables.

Can anyone comment on the sound quality of the v10 with the Philips x2 after the app fix?

Dac fix doesn't solve the problem of the V10's auto gain. Hopefully that setting will be the next solution added.

Don't have the Philips X2 but they won't get anymore power from the V10 (or change how any headphone sounds) than before unless you use one of the hardware adapters previously discussed to trigger it.

However, now that other apps can use the dac, I did find that increasing the EQ gain inside apps like UAPP (and others) does provide more volume (similar to how they work with regular android devices except now with the V10 sound is much higher quality).

I'm not sure if this is what you call "bypassing" the Auto gain function, but I used the headphone adapter from my daughter's Lifeproof case and the 32 bit Hi-Fi DAC indicates that an external audio device is connected.

The volume of the headphones are louder and clearer at a lower volume...(25) is now equivalent to (40) compared to when the headphone is directly plugged in.
