Lets Talk Metal

Since it can't be helped to be off-topic now...I loved the Psycho-Pass movie! (As you surely recall, you're the one who got me into that series.)

Why, of course I remember that! I have trouble remembering the 270+ bones, decay chains and radiation doses I need to know for my job, but this very minor thing I clearly remember!
But yes, the movie is pretty nice. Not as good as the first season but a bazillion times better than the piece of ***** that is season 2.

One of my favorite Porcupine Tree songs ♥

Another Shining post. (Sorry.)

Listened to Angst today. It's acceptable. Good production too. I have no strong feelings towards it one way or the other.

Played Född Förlorare a second time. I want my two hours* back.

I hope I never have to listen to this god-awful album again.

*Although the total play time was barely over 80 minutes, I had to vent my anger at such utter mediocrity by yelling profanities at the squirrels in my back yard. (Okay, not really.)

Currently listening to 8 ½. This is pretty darn good. Has much rougher, darker versions of songs from Angst.

I know this was already talked about twice but I think it deserves a third mention!

Here are two really good death metal albums provided free by the artists.

Domains - Sinister Ceremonies... riffy Morbid Angel-esque with great solos.
https://domainsofdeath.bandcamp.com/album/sinister-ceremonies

Undergang - Indhentet Af Døden... fairly unpredictable old school with elements from all over the place, held together in a really coherent package. Their whole discography is pay what you want, but this is the best of the bunch in my opinion.

New Horrendous track

It sounds good to me! Dude's vocals are vicious on this one. I think there's more energy than on Anareta, too. Don't get me wrong, Anareta is really good, I just wish it was a little more bangin' at times.

Found this band today.
Great great Psychedelic Desert Rock or whatever.

I really wish I would know more bands like this one or U.S. Christmas.

Speaking of U.S. Christmas and psychedelic stuff, give this a try: https://neurotrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/hawkwind-triad

Although a bit more lysergic and space-oriented than Otehi, you might enjoy Domovoyd: https://domovoyd.bandcamp.com/

Finally got around to checking this band out. Holy crap this album crushes. Very glad I bought it. (Don't know if this has been posted recently, I have tried to keep up in this thread, but I tend to watch a lot more movies now that my Ascend Acoustics theater system is running.)

Also I just got an iBasso DX80 and it goes PERFECT with my Oppo PM-3. Insanely detailed and clear. Love it.
