Our tastes are more closely aligned than I thought. I'm surprised you even know a few of those bands!

Yeah, I get around. Not just an old stoner doom guy. I totally dig select melodeth, prog and BM. And, weird in general. One of the styles I was in love with was post metal. It kind of played out-or maybe got incorporated into BM circles, but I love me some Isis, CUL, etc. I kind of miss those kinds of albums. But too much of a good thing....you know.  CUL Vertikal is one of my favorite albums in recent years. But, I digress....

Two times? More like fourteen times! (I counted.) How the heck did that happen?!

Gonna watch that later! I have most of their albums.

I live on an island, hence bad internet at times. Lol

I was really into post metal for about a year before getting burned out. I still visit favorites occasionally, but a lot of these albums seem to lack substance with repeated listens.

It's true! Not a ton of repeat value in many of the post-genres. I often find I'll think a post rock/metal album is going to be my AOTY on first listen, but then the second listen is boring

The sweeping soundscapes and crescendo dynamics stereotypical to post- can really add to other music...even though post-black is starting to wear thin there's still some great stuff. I guess post metal just isn't avant garde any more ha ha ha

I'm really not into Punk but this song always gets stuck in my head for a few days when I hear it.
It's damn catchy!

  Not bad.
The cover art is amazing! :D

LOL!

I think I ignored the album for like a year because of that silly cover.  But my Stoner/Doom bass playing buddies kept going nuts over it, so I gave it a try.  I don't care what that cover is about, that is one kick ***** album!
