What an odd "concert".
I guess going for the best possible quality is a bit difficult with a live crowd.
Already pre-ordered my Blu-Ray!

Sounds like this new At The Gates is going to be the new In Flames records everyone has always wanted but never found.

New song at At The Gates web site. First studio song, since 1995s Slaughter Of The Soul!

No links as my computer is acting up.

The new at the gates track is pretty solid guys

It´s pretty decent. I will wait until I heard the whole thing. At this moment it´s not easy to tell if they can keep the quality of their old stuff. But I´ll stay positive.

Lol, so it was, pretty good stuff I think. They may have mellowed just a little being out of the studio for 20 years. Does anyone else hear a touch of mellowness, or is it just me? I really don't care, I think the album should be great. They are one of the originators of the Gothenburg sound, so it's nice to hear it in true form again.

Oh, yeah. The whole community is going to schiit all over themselves if it's an even c- consistency. Shoot, as much as I may poo poo the genre, I'm totally up a solid Gothenburg release. I hope it's as good as this sounds all the way through. If so-count me on the ATG train.

I've been listening to Enslaved lately. Revising this release from 2010-love it. This has become one of my favorite  metal in the last five years.

I have to listen to the 2010 release more.

I'm just wondering if you have heard Isa, Ruun or Vertebrae yet?

I have those, along with most of their discography, but haven't heard a few. ^_^

I'm sure you maybe heard the Frost album, maybe the Emperor split "Hordanes Land ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hordanes_Land

Emperor and Enslaved have their demos combined on a CD.

SQ became much better with Isa foreword. But Frost is classic. They have a wild mid-period where before Isa, you could tell they were wondering and looking and then Isa became the new fully formed sound. I drove around for days finding their obscure CDs in stores, when there was CD stores. Lol.

Still if many have heard the early stuff it is refreshing to hear Isa. Ruun and Vertebrae. IMO

Maybe they owe most of their early sound to Bathory right along with Immortal?

I own the following Enslaved releases: Yggdrasill, Hordanes Land, Vikingligr Veldi, Frost, Eld, Mardraum, Isa, Ruun, Vertebrae, Axioma Ethica Odini, and The Sleeping Gods.

Is your Yqqdrasill the CD split with Satyricon?

Looks like you only need Blodhemn, Monumension and the new one? The Sleeping Gods was only a free download, as I remember?

http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Enslaved/Monumension/449 As you can maybe tell Monumension is by far their strangest and most progressive. I mentally group it with Mardraum, Beyond the Within.

Looks like Thorn will be the hardest to find being that it's a 45rpm vinyl 7 inch of only 1000 printed.
