the album is actually great...if taken song by song.  just fun cheesy stuff and honestly their musicianship is high quality no question

but i'm not sure who could sit down and listen to the whole thing at once LOL...i tried and didn't get that far, a little power goes a long ways ha ha

I remember when through the fire and flames debuted on headbangers ball. I was straight up embarrassed for all metal heads.. Until.... Little more than halfway through they did that bad a@& dueling guitar solo. One of my all time favorite guitar "solos".
The band definitely grew on me and you're right. Throwing a song in the mix here and there is just fun.

Best guitar solo ever? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iQ8ml7eENuI

If you think $15 are unusual for a Bandcamp download, check out these two bands and their reasonably priced music!

You could say so, yes.
The only kinds of Death Metal that I like are Tech/Prog/etc
You know, stuff like this:

I can't stand stuff like Obituary, Entombed, Autopsy, Six Feet under etc etc.
Really not my jam.

I still like it. Not sure why because it's not the old band? It does have some good parts?

In Flames is gone but replaced by impostors, still OK?

This must be where they got the idea for the cover from?

The story depicts an extraterrestrial invasion that begins in a small California town when alien plant spores grow into large seed pods, each one capable of reproducing internally a duplicate replacement copy of each human: As each pod reaches full development, it assimilates the physical characteristics, memories, and personalities of each sleeping person placed near it; these duplicates are devoid of all human emotion. Little by little, a local doctor uncovers what is occurring and tries to stop the invasion.[2]

Devoid of all human emotion.

Ditto...except I have no regrets removing the album from my DAP.
