Mesuggah's not coming here either. Pissed.

I really like their Nyphetamine era (Thornography) stuff. It's much more brutal vocally. More melodic, too. It's just flat out better than their new album.

It's mainly the vocal style change that I hated on the new album. I love love love this song. One of my favorites of theirs. Their costuming as far as I can tell has gotten ridiculous with the new album, too.

Thanks, I'll check some more of their music... I probably won't go but it would be nice, I recently moved and here a lot of black/ death metal bands come, the metal community here is quite large, so we get a lot of bands every year

Meshuggah is one I most see soon or late, just noticed also Nile is coming the same month, I'm not big fan of either but I'll try to go to at least one

Me? Yes, but only because I've seen Nile live.

I see, thanks. Just checked the prices for COF and they are fairly good, $50 for general and then $80 for a meet and greet, IDK why so little difference between the two... Nile has the same prices, but I believe for each it's only 50 of the meet and greet, i'm no huge fan so I'm ok without that, they are both in the same club 3 days apart... but since I would be going with my dad and he would pay for the tickets it would be $100 per show, so I'll listen to some some music and choose which one I prefer :p

Gotta say-any Dad-that will withstand the sonic assault of a  Nile show has some serious cajon...er, you know what I'm trying to say. Back in the day, I would not have dared asked my old man to take me to a say, Metallica, Priest or Slayer show. Your Dad  rocks. Or, maybe he has not idea what he's in store for......he, hee

For the more well versed Metal heads out there...What's your favorite Dark Tranquility album? I own Haven on vinyl but I think Character is my favorite (by a wide margin).

Gonna pick up Character again soon and am wondering if there's anything else I should snag from their catalog.

Wow...DQ....I think Haven, Damage Done and Character are all excellent. They were my gateway drug into DM.  And, of course, their early album The Gallary is kind of a classic-although it does sound a little bit like Iron Maiden with Sweedish death vox.

I don't think I could pick just one. It's been a while since I gave them all a listen, but I really like everything since Haven.
