Thanks for this.  Listening now!

One web site says the stream has been out for 7 days, still it has only 3000 listens? Weird to me? Still yes, something very different for the Black Metal fan who has jaded ears and has heard it all.

For anyone who cares, the new 2015 Sylosis- Dormant Heart album has been streaming here since January. I think their last album was better. Still it's a good listen. Makes me wish for the last album though?

A stand-out would be the new Fear Factory. I was never into them, and just a somewhat fan of industrial metal. Static-X and such. But this new Fear Factory is just a cool record. It sounds very fresh but they are not doing anything new so to speak, just getting perfection in sound and production. The whole album flows together and has some cool studio tricks too. I never thought I would like them this much. I actually was not that impressed by their last album. They seem to have it together in 2015!

Although I very much enjoy their new album, I liked Mechanize and The Industrialist (their previous two albums) quite a bit more. I urge you again to hear their entire discography sometime, to get a better feel for the band.

I find AMG reviews to be highly (overly?) critical a lot of the time, but I agree with them on the new RoN. It's like they are trying to add everything under the kitchen sink into one album and it just turns out lacking cohesion. Some of the breakdowns and chugging sound too close to djent and deathcore for my tastes too. They're skilled with their instruments though, there's no doubt about that.

I don't get that. I like them :)

I am doing that, now that I kinda get what they are up to. To think I have had their greatest hits album for maybe 10 years? Now I like them a ton?

That also sums up my thoughts.
Not very enjoyable.

Unlike the new Deafheaven track!

I bought the new Rivers of Nihil after hearing one track, and now that I've gotten to hear the whole album, I will agree that it is over produced and boring...doesn't grab me at all.

There is a silver lining though, cause the new Battlecross album, Rise to Power, came out the same day and while I didn't care for the screamy vocals at first, this album is freaking amazing, so much fun
