I listened to all of them. Skipped a few tracks though.
The atmospheric bits are really nice.
But as a whole, I'm not thaaaat convinced by this band. Not really my jam :/
This one the other hand.....one of my favorite releases of this year so far!
As long as you didn't skip the first few tracks. Added Paramnesia to my music wish list.
Abigor is my favorite black metal band, but they have such a diverse discography (with avant-garde stylings) that they would be more difficult to get into.
Guys, I can't get enough of Vainaja's debut LP. I'm fairly virgin to the death-doom scene. Do you guys have any recommendations for something like Vainaja, pure heavy death-doom with a keen sense of rhythm that borders on being anthemic, or even catchy? And I also love me a production with a ton of weight behind it.

Thanks, I'm liking what I'm hearing at an initial listen (Paragon of Dissonance). They've got a psychadelic ambience going on in the background, which I definitely do not mind! I appreciate your recommendation.
I'd also love anything a little more stripped down to let the heaviness/brutality peek through, too! Also, something that's not afraid to speed it up a bit now and then.

On any given day, I'd say 50% of listening is metal, with everything else filling the other half; I tend to favor electronic and orchestral genres on that end of the spectrum.
I have never attempted to properly tag classical. I shared a cool jazz song here.
Did anyone else notice the "other versions" feature at Metal Archives? I'm a Veteran member there (used to type up lyrics for new releases too) and thought this was really helpful to organize different editions of albums.
