Actually the Equinox, usually March 21, is the beginning of spring . . . . summer begind on the Solstice, usually on June 21.

I believe this is for the entire Northern Hemisphere.

That's what I thought, but wasn't sure so I didn't want to argue.

Hey, Hey! We weren't the only ones then!

Temperatures have been rising steadily for the last 10 days or so, and over the last two days (Friday Night-Saturday Morning), it dropped about 4 inches on us.

We got about 5 inches the other day, which is not good for rural areas where there will be more flooding than previously predicted. Thank goodness for the Floodway that protects Winnipeg!!!

^^that storm (and the one that came 2 days prior to it) was a godsend in some rural areas though. I was not able to get to work all week due to my road being closed with two feet of snow on top of a sheet of ice. Telecommuting FTW!

It's 58 out and a little cloudy. I'm trying to decide between jeans and shorts.

It still doesn't compare to the day when we had the crazy freezing rain.

You think you've seen freezing rain? check this out, I've never seen anything like it before!

I've got ~2' piled on my grass, and cleared about 8-12" off my driveway over a day or so (and I only used a snowblower once (it was having trouble with the depth/weight, so I just busted out ye olde shovel, went faster anyways)

I would not say 2' exactly

it was enough to get the kids the one and only snow day of their individual academic careers, and enough to shut some other stuff down, but not anything like (or approaching) the ~4'-5' we got a few years back

and its' been like 50* F outside, so everything is slush now
