LCD3. PS1000 sounds like a boombox from the 90s.

LCD-3s. My desert island headphone now, quite simply flawless imo. I'd honestly have to say that for all their positive traits, the PS1000s won't even be in my top 5 desert islands headphones due to their coloured sound signature that imo suits certain music very well and others very poorly.

PS1000 has ear piercing trebles, I hated it just like Beyerdynamic DT series.
And ear pads on PS1000 is horribly irritating, very rough material, feels like a dish wash scrubber.

I don't know because I don't have schitt lyr, I rather spend little extra to get WA22. :)

It doesn't seem like the best setup to use line out from an iPod into a midrange amp to drive totl, 2k headphones.

At the very least, consider getting a transport for the iPod so you can send the digital files to a better dac than what's in the iPod.

And please make sure the music files are, at minimum, 256 AAC.
