LAMPIZATOR THREAD COMMENTS REVIEWS TUNING

May I ask what was the source you used ?

I was using it in my computer based nearfield/headphone setup.

16 and 24 bit lossless thru MediaMonkey> iFiUSB 3.0>Lampi

I have no doubt it would scale higher via a dedicated server based system.

Darin,

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video review. I'm being teased right now as I'm at a computer without speakers, but I am very glad you enjoyed the time you spent with it. The Atlantic 2: TRP is indeed a very special piece which has been making a huge splash since we debuted it this past April at AXPONA. It is really an Atlantic in name only, the sixth generation of all our DAC is a substantial improvement over gen 5.

If anyone is interested or has any questions about it or the TRP or rest of our line, feel free to drop me a line as I'm the exclusive dealer/distributor for all of North America and also handle sales to unrepresented territories.

Happy Listening!

Fred A.

It's been a while since I last posted on this thread, but I couldn't be happier with the original GA and the service I've received from Lampizator and Fred. They went the extra mile for me when the source of a couple of the problems was my own power supply in a particular room of the house (happily now rectified).

The GA is by far the best DAC I've ever heard, and am now very curious about the latest gen 6... especially as I have a lot of nice GEC and Mullard tubes that I could use with the TRP.

All the lampi DACs I've heard have been outstanding. I also have an earlier Euforia (DSD only, and PCM converted to DSD via Roon or JRiver Media Player) and that also sounds very good. I think the Euforia has been replaced by the Amber 2.

The GA gives my Benz Micro LP S + VPI Prime Signature a run for it's money, with the added convenience factor of digital. If I absolutely had to give up one, it would be the turntable.

I hate to be the messenger here, but @Gopher said that the TRP is a clear upgrade from your DAC. Sorry about your wallet @leftside

Fred has been helping me many years always in top of any pending needs and setup advice.
For anyone who owns or is thinking of becoming one ha e no doubts of the large family you will become part of.
All needs are helped by Lampi groupies so to speak. Dedication of family help and tube rolling is way beyond anyone's expectations.
I am a very happy owner of both a pac and gg2 dacs.
A TRP is on loan from Fred as well and as I own about 50 pairs of tubes and rectis I'm all in

For a little perspective behind the speakers is about 20 feet or so
The amps are mark Levinson NO 33
Pre amp NO 26
All amps and preamps have been Completely been serviced by me all 126 caps per amp is now new and exacting original parts. Some had to be made again as they are out of production
All amps have been adjusted to exact new factory's specs. To my knowledge no one has these amps completely made new
The speakers have all new magnets
All new outboard cross overs designed by Arnie himself and made my ps audio

Is that a Raytheon RK60 or a Mighty 596 in the rectifier slot?

Do you have a list of tube types the TRP can take?

Indeed.
Im working on trying to purchase my own TRP. Any tube rolling advice/links you can provide would be quite helpful. I have a few rectifiers, but not sure which will work in the TRP.
Sittard made GZ34, GZ32, GEC 18/20 ,which is a 4volt equivelant to the U52 used with an adapter. Working on grabbing a WE 422a for my Glenn. Are any of those viable/good in the TRP?
