I really can't answer that question my friend.

Does anyone with 6x5 rectifier tried mullard ez35? Is it compatible with 6x5.

If it is an EZ35, then it should be compatible as EZ35 is a 6x5.  Did you get that from ebay?

Also, what 6x5 are you rolling right now?  I am trying a bunch in my L5 with interesting results.  Definitely the rectifier is where I am seeing massive sound changes (both good and bad).

No, I did not get that pair from Ebay, and I am using Sylvania 6X5gt(not top chrome) right now. It makes a really huge difference compared to the stock 6u5c on my B7. I just bought 2 Bendix 5852. I am actually looking for 2 tung-sol 6x5gt but cant find one.

What difference did the Sylvania's make?

I have tried both the Bendix and Tungsol.  My comments aren't based on critical listening but that comes next when my system burns in.  In any case, Bendix compared to stock quite different.  Stock felt like I was on top of the performers especially on bass wise.  With Bendix, it felt like I was moved back a bit and had huge increase in soundstage (also remember they removed those resistors in the path as well).  Tung Sol's felt like they were between the two soundstage wise and I probably like them the best currently.  However, there is a bit too much shrillness in the treble that I need to tame.

In any case, I got my Tung Sols from Brent Jesse at audiotubes.com.  I still want to get the staggered version of the tungsols as I have read that those might be different.

Sylvania with parallel plate definitely makes everything more punchy and physical. The bass becomes more punchy and speed is faster. I just ordered a pair of Brimar 6x5gt from JAC music. I read some posts that they are really good.

Interesting on the Sylvania.  Which type Brimar did you order.

BTW, what is the equipment chain you are using with the lampizator?

I ordered type 2 because type 1 has the same plate as sylvania and I want to try some other plate. I am using lampi via

Mac -> wireworld platinum USB -> lampi b7 ->SAA endorphin RCA-> EC2a3mkiv-> Hd800. Though I think my cable makes no difference in my system. I do have ps Audio P3 power plant, but I do not think it makes huge difference for headphone system.

Is it ok to use bendix, I have zero knowledge on electric engineering but it have read some posts mentioned that bendix has some different heat measurements compared to other 6x5 which might damage the transformer.

Yes, it is okay.  Lukasz was the one who actually looked at it before he said it was okay.  Couple of caveats:  One, he was specifically talking about the BIG5.  It might be different for other systems (I would email).  Two, there was a resistor in the signal path that he said would lessen the effect of the higher draw.  In my case, he went ahead and removed them so I could get full effect.

Assuming you have BIG5 too, I would love to hear how the Bendix's change the sound for you.  Also, what preamp tubes are you using?  My BIG5 is using 6sn7.

I am looking to try a tube roll for the rectifiers as well. In comparing it to my msb stack it's about the same type of presentation with stock on the B7. I most defiantly do not want to move the staging back as I like it close . I would like a little more low end but do not wan to sacrifice anything else. This is with headphones multiple pairs and amps.
Speakers will be in sept as the music room is under construction. I think the tubes that are supplied are very good and I like the voicing luk has done . I hVe a pair of EML globes anniversary tubes to try .

What tubes does your BIG7 use?

BTW, the BIG5 made a big impression at the SF meetup this last Sunday.  Probably a good thing it was located off the beaten path as people had a chance to really listen and do so in a quieter environment.  Not sure if it was the removed cover, but people were fascinated.  Oh yeah, by the sound too.
