That's over $1500 with of tubes.

Any 2A3 has a hard sound meaning not rich but powerful. It's hard to describe but if you had a 45 or even a 300 b you would understand. They are not as musical of tube a s others. I cannot say I have tried those. But I a have a bunch of them various brands and pavane and eml They can be used on some rock but lack a soft sound on classical or well produced music.
What tubes do you plan to try just out of curiosity ???

If we consider the 101d replica to be at one end of spectrum is the EML 45 mesh at other end, hope not.

The point Iam trying to make is I don't want to loose the detail that I currently get with the 101d ceramic base but improve on everything else.

@ALRAINBOW  1.Which EML rectifier is best the 5U4G or the 274B?  2.Also, what rectifier has better depth than the 274B?  3.What is the last EML 45 tube you got in?

My pint is play with recti and I do not know what ones to maybe get a bigger stage . But you cannot get more weight or note thickness and keep,the same details . But the new globes do get you as close to having both I ever heard they are much better than my Elrogs and they were very good. One other though is 6A3 it's one notch up from a 101d .

Do the 6a3 sit between the 101d and 45 ?
