Koss KSC75's. Dont Forget This Giant Killer in all the ''Hidden Gem'' Hype.

On ebay.co.uk I found two other sellers apparently offering the desired "parts express" headphones, now called "Electrovision Orange Stereo Headphones"

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electrovision-Orange-Stereo-Headphones-A070B-/400637014313?pt=UK_AudioVisualElectronics_HomeAudioHiFi_Headphones&hash=item5d47d3b129

I haven't bought anything from either vendor but the pics are of the right part. Remember that ebay guarantees you get exactly what is offered or you get your money back so probably it is safe enough to buy one and see. Amazon uk are OK with marketplace refunds but somewhat inflexible and very, very slow. If you buy something on ebay using paypal and it isn't as pictured ebay will start dealing with it right away, especially if you call them and bend their ear.

For what it's worth I have the KSC-75s on my ears right now using the clips. The headband is sat unused and abandoned on my desk .... mwahahahaha

I've ordered the KSC75 from amazon.co.uk + some SoundLab Lightweight Orange School Office Stereo Headphones.
Before ordering, I sent a message to the supplier who I was going to order from and asked if the headphones matched the picture:
Quote:
Very good day,

I'm considering in buying some of these headphones from you: "SoundLab Lightweight Orange School Office Stereo Headphones" (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0002DEJMU/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&smid=A3RR83O5CUB4PO)

However I have very specific requirements about the headphones.
Because I know there are different versions being distributed around, I must ask the following question:

Are the headphones you are selling **exactly** equal to the ones in the picture?

Thank you for clearing this up,
Very Interested Customer

To which his response was:
They look exactly the same
Regards

Yesterday I receive the package, and find out the orange headphones are not the ones in the picture, but those with the model name in headband, which is not detachable.
Mother ******* bitches.
I've returned the Altai headphones, but now have the Koss without headband... :frowning2:

Since you are not using your headband, would you consider shipping it to me in an envelope?

Thanks

Oh the power.

If I ever decide to sell it will be on the basis of a price per gramme, either 5x gold price or 3x platinum, whichever is greater.

Headbands eh? Introducing... THE KOSSHEISER!

Compared to my modded 558's, the sound stage just as wide but less deep, the highs less refined but still a joy to listen to. It also stays on my head much better when I'm laying on my bed so these will be my sleeping headphones.

I love my ksc75s, for me they have the perfect sound signature and they are better than any off my other headphones such as sr80i, etymotic er4s etc. They seem to deliver such great separation and very musical mids! love 'em!

ok so I bought a fiio x5 Dap and these headphones sound great with them. While they can't touch my th-900's the 75's are a great mobile option I wouldn't cry over if I forgot them at Starbucks.

Hi guys...ive been snooping around this thread for the last couple of days and thought it was time to give my contribution with regards to the headband situation.... i have messaged about 6 sellers on ebay with the prices ranging from £0.99 to around £2.99  ... all of which state the headphones have the serial number on the side and not the embossed L+ R logo.... However .. i messaged a guy today who has physically gone and checked the stock he has and has confirmed that his have the L + R embosssed on the side ... the converstaion was as follows..

I said...

Hi.. these headphones seem to come in two different types... some have the serial number A070B printed on the side of the ear pad ...others seem to have L + R embossed on the side of the ear pad .. i need these for a home headphone project but require the ones with L + R,,, could you please confirm if these headphones have the L and R embossed or do they have the serial number A070B.... Your main picture suggests that they are embossed but the pics within the listing suggest they have the serial number ....... thanks...

Hi there
These definitely have left and right embossed on each side.

regards,

Ok... thank you... order has been placed ... there seems to be a lot of confusion with these for some reason, if it turns out that they dont have the L and R could you please let me know... you should have payment via paypal... thanks for your help...

He said..

No problem
I checked them physically myself so I can assure you they are embossed with left and right.

Regards

I have ordered a set from him and i have also ordered the Koss clipon's on the strength of those messages, he has despatched them today so i should get them either tomorrow or the day after they are £5.38 which is a little more expensive than most, however, these have the drivers that obviously swivel slightly on the headband which is what we want ... Right....lol... the newer version is cheaper and does not have drivers which swivel which would explain thier cheapness i guess........ anyway... the suspense is over, you get them from here ..>>>>> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=111299261628&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123

I would suggest anyone who wants them to message the guy first...just to be 100% sure, he seems very helpful so should reply no problem...... hope this helps guys. i will post back once i get them  :)

Are you 100% sure this headband fits KSC75 perfectly?

These things are fantastic as-is, going to rummage around in my parts bin for a thin headband I know is in there. Might mod them later, but I am seriously modded out and with what I am hearing stock, not much point.

Yep this 50 cent headband works pretty good with a bit of bending. Going to see if the Russian TDS-17 works it's nicer.
