I was about to can this DAC, but tried it with Jriver 19's PCM2DSD DSP, WOW. Completely different animal, there's definition, dynamics, resolve, can actually hear decays a lot better than feeding the DAC a PCM signal.
 
Feed the DAC DSD128 and you're good to go

Japan is a 100 volt country, very bad for sound....... 
 
The East of the country is 50Hz, while the west is 60Hz.  Go figure....... 
When you have DC powered gear, it doesn't matter.

The Korg is powered from the USB port, so not quite sure of the relevance.

Damn, it looks like these things are available direct from Japan all the way down to $340.  Might have to score one of these at that price.

The other one I saw here shows 35,000 yen which is about $340 but goes up to 39,900 yen when I click on it .
