I was about to can this DAC, but tried it with Jriver 19's PCM2DSD DSP, WOW. Completely different animal, there's definition, dynamics, resolve, can actually hear decays a lot better than feeding the DAC a PCM signal.
 
Feed the DAC DSD128 and you're good to go

Japan is a 100 volt country, very bad for sound....... 
 
The East of the country is 50Hz, while the west is 60Hz.  Go figure....... 
When you have DC powered gear, it doesn't matter.

The Korg is powered from the USB port, so not quite sure of the relevance.
