The screen removal is a "must" for me to free the treble and enjoy AS16 pro fully.

they sounded more open, clear and sparkly, also no more moisture build-up problem that dulls the treble and volume overtime anymore haha
recommend to do for the curious minds out there

and for the impedance stuff, they still sound stunning to me without the adapter even with the 1k hump

It's very nice actually. Open and detailed. Good fit. My realme gt2 wasn't too happy with the other dac I was using and kept dropping connection and it also wouldn't connect to the the 7hz DAC I had. This one works perfectly. Hiby music player probably solved the problem in fairness.

I have Jaybird Vista and Takstar pro 82, I was thinking to get KZ Castor and a DAC to go

I bought the AZ20 blindly since there were not so many reviews, and some of them are advertising review because of free stuff, as usual
the AZ20 have similar shape like the CCA BTX, and the AZ20 have very boosted treble that muddy everything.
Fit is nice, light and firm, connection is great lot of improvements from past KZ bluetooth module and TWS, but the sound tuning really weird. It boost the mid bass so much until the IEM become super muddy, it turned my Mest become like a failed cheapo chifi.
And the drive power is very weak. I tried with PR2 also, max volume, no dice. I just bought it to pair with Castor Bass, but I didn't expect that bad non neutral tuning.
The technicalities are pretty good actually, only they boosted the midbass so much until super bleed into mids and trebles.
So I only use the AZ20 with EQ from my phone, combined with Castor, make a solid budget TWS, nice sounding and technicalities after I lower down the 125hz -10db (what?? yes -10db on 125hz)

hey, I have exact experience with the bass. Fortunately, besides PR2, Krilla is surprisingly good when pairing with BTX. I just ordered AS24 since I am pretty curious about "more technicalities" as described by reviewers haha. The non-tunable version looks better and is available at my local store but they have no graph on squig so it is a bit risky.

tbh, I tend to ignore reviewers who spend 90% of their vid on unboxing and giving compliments. Graphs affect most of my decisions, though they start to be inaccurate from 5k.
