The X10i and the Sony player are new to me.

I have noticed both a general harshness and a slight hiss when these 2 are paired - it's not evident using either of my iPods with the Klipsch; and the other iems in my signature sound great with the A865.

Is it just a difficulty of the Sony paired with BA iems? I don't mind so much because most all of my lossy music is on my iPod Touch, but I would like an answer.

Thanks.

I've heard that certain players have trouble with BA IEM's....something to do with output impedance, I think. (which I don't pretend to understand) The Touch and the Sansas are supposed to do well with them, but I have heard that complaint about hiss in regards to Sony players before.

I think that's probably so,

In any event, I'm only going to use the x10i inside with my iPods as they are a fragile iem, and use my other iems when outside paired with my Sony.
