So I have had the Klipsch X10 in 2008 and lately the cable has been fraying on the outside of the left IEM.  Well I got ahold of Klipsch right away, no questions asked they are going to warranty it!

Good job Klipsch.

Good job indeed. I hope they will continue to be like that after the ownership's change.

I was happy to hear about Klipsch standing behind their product, since I have the X10's and the cable inserts seem fragile. Then I see the post about Klipsch being bought by Audiovox. Did the buyout take place? Has anyone gotten service since then?

Good to know!

I am actually debating if I should buy the X10's since I want an upgrade from my current Image S4's, which I really like by the way.

Do you think going from S4 to X10 is worth it?

For the current price, it's definitely worth it. However, at that price point, you may want to look at some other options such as the UE TF10 or Etymotic HF3

I had UE TF10's. Don't ask me how they sounded - I couldn't get past how uncomfortable they were for me. I also had Ety ER4P's. They were so detailed, but those things went so far into the ear canal that I think TF10's are illegal in some US states. For me, if I can't wear 'em, it doesn't matter how great they sound. :frowning2:
