Klipsch High End Over Ear-your input appreciated

Just got mine this morning. So far, so good. Very musical and haven't encountered any harshness or sibilance (used the ZX-300 and the HP-A3 as sources).

Only complain I have so far is regarding the leather pads. These will definitely be hot during summer...

How do they sound with less bass based music, like instrumental music, acoustic vocals?

They sound very musical. Exciting music sounds exciting, mellow music sounds mellow...

I haven't heard anything acoustic yet, but I heard some vocal Jazz, Melody Gardot - Love me like a river does, and it was just.... right on the money. And that song is incredibly vocal centric.

They've put a big smile on my face. So yes, I'm very happy so far.

That's what I did, I read and saw all I could about them. After that, if you can't audition the set, you just gotta follow your gut.

I hope you get them soon and enjoy them in good health.

Yes, thanks! I called some local shops here in London to have a demo, but because of the lockdown they will reopen at earliest next month.
So I just visualized myself with the headphones with their good and bads things people said about them (especially the allegedly bad things and if I can accept them). And press the paypal button :)))

I will let you guys know my experience!

Has anyone tried to mod these with the Sennheiser replacement pads?

Maybe using some velcro ties to keep it in place, so no glue or tape is needed...

Is there an actual Klipsch XLR balanced cable for these? I only saw it for sale in one store, so I wasn't sure if it wasn't a wrong listing.

Thanks for the thorough review. I'd love to see the pattern for that comfort strap.

Here is the pattern!
I scanned in the pattern I made and tweaked it and cleaned it up in Illustrator. If you print it out unscaled on a 8.5x11 sheet of paper is should be the right size.

One of the changes I made was to shorten the strap by 1/2 inch because I made mine was just the right length when I made it but now the leather, braided string, or both have stretched out ever so slightly so it no longer holds it off my head. I will need to fix this weekend when I have the time. I should have made it shorter and just lengthened the braided string. Anyway, all of this doesn't matter as long as you don't use the headphones on setting #6 or larger. If you use it on a smaller setting there should be plenty of room to use a shorter strap.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I put them on my Denon MD2000 and LA7000 using a good 3M rubberized double stick tape and after about 5 years are in great shape. I used the top one from the 650.
