But if you include the 1z it seems the cu version of the 1000 is more appropriate than the ss, that's all.

True, but SP1000 series it's still the same series. IMO, you cannot count any additions to the SP1000xx as new flagship. Must be a new standalone flagship. Same goes for 1z or other DAPs.

Hi guys, I just heard from a Pleune L user saying it's great for details, soundstage, layering and separation. Based on others comments and reviews I understood, for details the SP1000 is the greatest (?)... Any short comparison / comments between the Pleune L vs the SP1000 vs N8 vs Lotto PAW Gold ( or the Touch) ?

I tried n6ii as good as it is, still slightly below 1z....

Maybe if judging by n6ii amp t01, might be true n8 is a king.

Me to at first I wasnt really drawn in to smaster dac and at first had an impression it was not technical or fast.
But with more listening I realized it has certain sound aspects that others will never have.

Smaster is smoothest of them all.
More layering and textures.
Emotional nuances are just soul grabbers.
The transition between notes is silky and so clean.

+ 1z is king of all kings in battery .
+ extreamly reliable os and hardware.
+ with sony software updates this dap is still ruling the market!
