Woodgrain and Leather x-Deep Darth Beyer's; with the right amp, they have more than a little bass!

The HD 650 amp'd toward the warm side can exhibit a good amount of bass as well!

I got the Ultrasone HFI-780 recently. It has deep and well defined bass with excellent impact.

Well, than you have to tell us how your ES7 are doing vs 780, however it is another thread/story

I dont have the ES7s anymore. Sold em a while ago. From memory - the ES7s were more forgiving of the source and some may prefer the softer treble on the ES7. For me the deal breaker was primarily the lack of comfort and isolation. The 780 are v.revealing and detailed, has a MUCH better bass definition, better soundstage, is more comfortable & isolates well.

To me the 780 are better in every way. Its in a different league than the ES7.

How did you mod the ms-1 to increase bass.

In your opinion which set of cans provides the MOST bass impact?

For what I've heard it was the Beyerdynamic DT770. Too much IMHO.

Good impact for not too expensive (compared to R10, L3000, O2 etc) ?

Deep V3-DXO Darths with leather pads.

The modded Yamaha HP-1's I foolishly sold had excellent bass impact, imo, if not necessarily bass extension. I suspect some of the other more sought after orthodnamic's would exhibit even more.
Grado's are also excellent at bass impact, sound more like planar to me in this regard.
