So basically it is a color characteristics, not the structure?

Yes, wood does not affect sound, it is only a design option

Good evening, everyone.

About the Karelian birch, in its transformed form (stabilized Karelian birch, impregnated with a colored resin), here is a very nice version of the Kennerton Thekk (limited edition), in green color. :)

Congratulations ! :)

The FR measurement curve of your Thekk is very regular, which is important for respecting the timbres played.

The quantity its bass (not counting its quality) of Thekk are more than sufficient, high level, although the feeling is very subjective from one person to another, according to expectations.

I picked up my Thekk today. I also received a 3.2 meter CLC04 balanced cable.

Out of the box you can really tell how fast the driver is and the clarity of instruments. The bass is very quick and can stop on a dime. No bloated bass with these drivers. This is just from listening to Al Di Meola's latest album "Across the Universe".

Now the break-in begins.

These are the actual pair with better photos.

Enjoy ! :)

Indeed, "burning" of your headphones" (for example with 150 H of pink noise), is necessary to take advantage of all the performance of your Thekk.

Hi all.

Here is the link to an excellent review of the Kennerton Thekk, by its new owner, versus, in particular the Kennerton Thridi and the Focal Utopia.
Review written in French (note: you can of course use google translate or DeepL Translator for non-French speakers).
Also very nice pictures. :)

Any experiences about driving the Thekk with a portable amp (like my Chord Hugo2 and Woo Audio WA11, for instance... ) ? Do we loose some perceptible sound quality vs desktop amp ?

At first I listened to Thekk with Cayin N6II (from balanced 4.4 output) and I can briefly describe this experience as good.

When I first heard how they sound with a powerful desktop amplifier, it was a wow experience.

The soundstage has expanded to enormous size. The sound has become much more expensive, aristocratic, aesthetic. If you want to reach a full potential, I recommend a good powerful desktop amplifier.

Could someone try the Thekk with Dekoni pads (highly recommended with Odin), Velours Elite or Hybrid ?

Anyone else planning on getting their hands on a Thekk?

I’m really interested in a lightweight yet sturdy, relatively efficient headphone with a neutral, almost reference-like sound with a touch of musicality.

If anyone is able to compare it to an Auteur, I would love to hear your opinion.

I'm really interested in these & am wondering if someone can explain a little better about the drivers?Do I understand correctly they use a Carbon Fibre FRAME that holds the "Multi-layer 10µm polyimide film diaphragm"?So it is still a form of plastic that is the actual driver material & NOT Carbon Fibre, correct?
