I don't have HLP or Rognir in my hands. I don't remember what the vocals sounded like there. I don't think Odin has a problem with vocals as it has a solid midrange
I would say, side by side with my LCD5, that the Heartland Planar is behind in overall resolution. But tonality wise it's wonderful, different but in the right way.
They don't have any literal-audio-microscope like the 5.
No - the LCD-3 Pre-Fazor is my favorite headphone. However, it requires more power than the Rognir and is an open-back. I listen to Rock, Electronic, Soundtracks, and almost everything. If it has a strong drum kick, I'm probably into it.
I like the Kennerton style as much as I like Meze - art as well as sound. If there's something coming up that is at the same level as a Rognir (the Planar Magnetic, not dynamic), I'll want to check it out.
How is treble extension on rognir planar? FR looks like the treble is a little relaxed. Looking for a fast bass balanced closed back with good air extension and planar quality separation
