Hello, a Kennerton noob here with a couple of questions. In a day or so I will receive a new to me pair of Magister Lites. The pictures I have received from the seller look just like pictures that I have seen of the Magister on the internet. How can you tell the difference between the two models? Also is there a way to tell if it was a Massdrop unit or it came directly from Kennerton?

Thanks

For most products, there are differences, for example for Hifiman, the original HE400, HE400S and HE400i were all Hifiman, but the massdrop variant were named HE4XX, and this was also written on the product itself.

If there are no differences between the massdrop and the normal models, like, if there is no special massdrop model, then I'm not sure if you can tell them apart, well, the paperwork would be different, and so would the warranty

Hope this helps!

There were no difference between Kennerton Magister Lites sold by Massdrop or directly from Kennerton. You wouldn't be able to tell (nor would we :)) - same components and materials used and same master crafted those.

Thank you for the response. I am looking forward to my Kennerton experience!
The ones I have coming have very little time on them. How much break in time do they need before they bloom?

Also is there an exterior difference between a regular Msgister and a Magister lite?

Thank you

Magisters are comparatively fast to break-in, about 20 hrs is enough.

The difference between Kennerton Magister and Magister Lite was only in cables and in leather used (Lite had artificial leather). If it is an early one, it may not have a carrying bag with it.
Everything else is the same.

Thank you for the information. Mine came with a very nice Kennerton bag. I had read some where that the interior design of the lite cups was different. That some of the cut in contour detail was missing in the lites. Is that statement true or false?

My initial impressions are very positive. Great sound and beautiful bog wood. The build quality is first class as well.

Hi all.

As you all know, Thror is an alias of the Nordic god Odin, who has several names.

The Odin (like Thror) are warlike gods from the North, as is the northern region of Karelia (located north of the northern Russian city of northern Russia, St. Petersburg, aka Leningrad).

However, it is necessary to know that the headphones Odin, like the Thror, have a soul of ferocious warriors, whose martial character is forged from the youngest age, that is to say at the time of the design of these headphones: for proof , this beautiful cup wooden in Karelian birch(most likely intended for a Thror or Odin Thridi?) Dryng (for lacquer) on a martial support, which could be a sword blade (nb: at least, it's the first image that my unbridled imagination had when looking at this curious support).
If you see another use for this scrap metal, do not hesitate to let me know!

Otherwise, always in connection with Kennerton headphones, here is a very beautiful image of the last look of the Kennerton Vali, whose finish never stops improving, all dressed in black (for the bow), with beautiful wooden cups from naturally treated Ash.

Have a nice week end. :)

Otherwise, I do not have the eyes in front of the holes, and it's the case to say it in terms of holes by examining more closely the new Kennerton headphones support (stand wood) (The "Praetor Plus"?), largely openwork, in a style less massive and more worked.
