Hi all.

Latest news about the new Kennerton Flagship "Zeus" unless it is finally named "Thor"? (Another Nordic deity), as well as the "small" nomadic closed headphone with paper membrane "washi?" Whose name is now known as "Baldr" (another son of Odin).
Uncertainties regarding the Kennerton multi-drivers prototype.

Hi all.

Latest news from russia (St Petersburg).

The new Kennerton cables, with a black cotton sheath, customizable for termination (6.35 mm Jack, or XLR) and I believe also the conductor (in particular Litz wire, with a variable number of strands, to choose).

Hi all.

It seems that the new flagship will certainly named Thor. (Odin's son, or in other words, Odin's successor). Mr. Valentin Kazanzhi himself told me in our e-mail exchanges (I asked Fischer Audio something and the CEO himself answered. So we chatted a little about the upcoming products -- both Kennerton's and Fischer Audio's -- he seems to be a very nice person).

[EDIT: The name is actually not Thor. It's "Thror". See discussion in later comments.]

By the way ... haven't posted any pic in a while. So here it is:

Wow !

Thank you both for the news about the future Kennerton flagship, the Thor. :)

200 g less than the Kennerton Odin mk1 / mk2
Almost 100 g less than the Kennerton Vali;
Only 20 g more than the Stax SR-009 (without its wire)

An improved "hi-tech" honeycomb membrane for its periphery, compared to that of the Odin mk2 (lighter membrane?).

And finally a name, more appropriate to its northern origins: THOR, the most formidable warrior of the pantheon of Scandinavian gods (a killer of giants and titans).

With an external grid of the headphone Thor with a T (or a hammer?) Like logo (see the plastic model below of the flagship Kennerton Thor, waiting for the final grid in aluminum (black?)).

Very impatient (and curious) to listen to it in real, compared to my Odin mk2. :)

'" Третья версия мембраны, та что с серийником OD240, пока в серию не пойдет. Звучит она хуже, чем версия с "пчелиными сотами". Точнее не то чтобы совсем хуже. Она звучит как стоковые Одины, но с более упругим басом. А "сотовые" звучат принципиально интереснее, ровнее, чище и обемнее. "

1st citaition: I had a chance for a brief listen. These are Abyss killers! Bass is punchy and no zing in upper midrange

2nd citation: the 3rd membrane version will not go to production. It sounds not so well as honeycomb version does. It just sounds as stock Odin with better bass. And the honeycomb version sounds more interesting, linear and clearer, and more spacious

Hi all,

To read, this very interesting article by Bob Katz concerning sound perfection.
https://www.innerfidelity.com/content/katzs-corner-episode-17-perfecting-perfection

KatzCorner_Ep17_Graph_BellCurve.jpg

And my comments on the subject, on the french forum HCFR
http://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/post179288353.html#p179288353

Imho, Bob Katz should listen at least once in his life the Kennerton Odin mk2 (note: the Kennerton Odin FR, quite neutral and natural should not displease him), and even better (perhaps), the future flagship of Kennerton, the Thror/Thor, announced as an "Abyss killer", especially if it corrects as defect of the Odin, a point of dullness at the junction high-medium and low-treble, and an aeration that can be improved (need more spacious).
