well that look good, the only thing i don't like it is the middle treble could be -1dB or -0.8dB, but look better :).

i have t5p mk2, that are my street headphone... but i have a plan of change the pad for a Alpha dog pads.
With that T5P MK2 get more smooth FR.

But Tror cost 3500 and it's open at my home i have different expectation about a headphone, i'm curious about a '' vs '' between my EFO and TROR

Beyer Dynamic ... no more treble mountaineering for me, thanks!

Thror FR looks nice, unfortunately the CSDs on that site are unreadable, and I don't see a distortion graph.

Yes, we can't see for the moment the distortion graph for these new and old Kennerton planar headphones.

We have just a qualitative assessment of the bass of these headphones by Hardcorist (Max) on the russian forum giving us an indirect indication of the distortions.
Link : http://player.ru/showthread.php?t=142284&page=107&p=2465936&viewfull=1#post2465936

Here an approximate translation (I am not Russian-speaking):
"But there is a difference in perception (for bass). And it is conditioned by temporal characteristics. If Odin Mk1 bass is more imposing, the impulse calms down longer, and on hearing it is perceived as more fatty.
Bass of novelties (Thror and Odin mk3) is faster, with better control.
Therefore, on hearing it seems drier.
Well, the new headphones have slightly better transient characteristics. Meander a little prettier and cleaner."

Just want to point out that original Kennerton Odin measured there was the one of the first bunch. So the larger bass decline partly explained by old ear cushions used on original Odin.

Yes the Odin mk1 (with the V1 pads), as the very first Odin mk2 (with the the same V1 pads), have more perforations (less sealing ?) than the current Odin mk2, more late, as well as the new Odin mk3 (and also the Thror), who all use the new pads V2 containing less perforations (with more sealing ?).

Left: Kennerton Odin V2 earpads (new pads for Odin mk2, Odin mk3 and a priori also the Thror) ; right : Kennerton Odin V1 earpads (old pads for Odin mk1 and the first version of the Odin mk2) (earlier)

Odin mk1 vs Odin mk3 Vs Thror FR (300 Hz adjustment)
(Nb: alignment of the curves at the frequency 300 Hz) (Nb bis: the vertical scale of the dB is enlarged to better differentiate the curves: each graduation represents 6 dB)

Otherwise, seen on another Russian forum.

Thror or Abyss, what is the best technically?
Probably the Abyss. :)
Which one should I choose?
Probably the Thror.

The best is what you ears prefer.

I'd heard the Thror but I'm still an Odin guy.

That's true ! :)

I love my Odin mk2 (especially with the V1 pads and the Vectura C cable in Litz wire), both on the Viva 2A3 amp and on the XI audio Formula S amp; it's a very addictive headphone and I would never part with it!

Thror is more technical, also straighter and more neutral. Let's say that it is an headphone complementary to the Odin to listen to classical music on large orchestral ensembles, with more precision in the placement of instruments, more resolution and perhaps a better tone and timbres more faithful to the instruments (piano and violin in particular); it is also more interesting for electronic music (better sub-bass extensions).

The ideal being to have both headphones if you are a little perfectionist; but for pure pleasure, the Odin mk2 is a great headphone, more fun, and very pleasant to listen to; much more for example than my ex Stax SR-009 that bored me a bit.

Hello everyone,

Seen on Kennerton's Facebook site a new Kennerton Headphone Stand with this mention: " A good companion for Odin (and other headphones as well), Kennerton Huginn stand. Durable glass and natural oak. Do you like it? "

https://www.facebook.com/KennertonAudioEquipment/

You'll recognize at first glance the very impressive and beautiful Kennerton Odin mk2 wooden in Pale Moon Ebony with the new Kennerton Custom Litz Cable (the same as the one sold with the Thror), in more of this beautiful new Stand in natural oak wood and smoked glass of black color. Very nice set! :)
