AKG's weren't on my radar before I snagged a pair of K240 sextetts from a friend. Love the sound coming out of these oldies! Just did some reading up on the K550's. Interesting. I think I'll just continue enjoying the 240's for  now... and the M500's of course! But AKG is intriguing to me now.

I haven't heard the K240s. You should definitely try the K550s. You might like them more than I did. They didn't suck, but they were problematic like all other phones in this price range/type except the M500s which were a nice surprise.

Have just put the M500s on my ears after a long drought from them. Wow! I just forgot how excellent these things are, Clearly my favorite headphone after the X1.

Gee, thanks! I am almost getting the full seal with the ue900 tips, maybe if I can do something similar to this, it'll be great! Does it also remove driver flex? I don't have driver flex when I insert them, but when I turn my head, I hear light pops and clicks.

In my case, I can't move too much. But I don't care as I just listen at home with my M200.

Yup, the M500's are awesome, as are the X1's. And the K240's are doing it for me as well. I'm pretty happy regardless of which set I throw on :)

I'm going to join the hype train here and weigh in on the m200's I just got. I've only owned them for about 30 hours so far, but I am loving the sound. They have everything that I missed from my er-4s. Plentiful good bass, much wider sound stage, and a non fatiguing sound signature. Fit has been a bit of an issue, but I am gradually getting over that. I tried the comply s-500 "active" tips, but those did not really work for me. Surprisingly, though, Radioshack's house brand Auvio ear tips seem to be sealing really well. They seem to retain the same sound signature too. I haven't read this thread too thoroughly, so somebody may have already asked this, but has anybody tried a DIY solution for tips yet? I was thinking about getting some different kinds of earplugs and putting holes in them to see what happens.

Would it be hard to jog with the M200? Considering the fit issues mentioned, it seems like you can't move around much. Is that an accurate descriptions?

Seems like you have the M500. Same bottom line: Can't move around much. Not so bad until you can't move at all, but definitely not for jogging.

^ thanks - I figured but wanted to check. My Etymotic HF-3 cable broke (use for running), so I'm looking around.

The over-ear M500 is the one you can't move around with because there is no clamping pressure. The in-ear M200 has ear clips so you can run in them without them falling out. The issue people have been having with them is getting the tips to fit. With some ears they fit perfectly, with other ears they don't work at all. But that is an issue with most IEMs. Unfortunately no one else can tell you whether they will fit - it depends on your ears.

Hey guys,

So I spent $200 on the M200 and really could use some help.

1. They never seem to sit in my ear correctly. I have tried all the plugs (I wear glasses btw), I always have to readjust and push them in harder. Is there a better way?

2. I have an android phone and the volume up/down does not register in anything (music player/spotify/phone calls/etc). I have to use the phone (using note 3) in order to do this. What does work is the center button - play/stop / google version of siri.

Any ideas?
