K401, K501, K701

Well if any one wanted to know i went and just got a pair of 601s as i couldnt find any 501s.

But im quite happy with the price i paid and i look forward to the warmth of the 601s.

Ditto. The bass from my K501 ("bass-heavy" version) is deep, tight, perhaps better controlled than that of the K701, though lacking some of the "bloom" of the latter.

Will look forward to your impression. I personally never owned a pair of K601s so I'm curious to hear how it sounds.

That's exactly how I would describe it. It's by no means grado punchy but I can definitely hear tight, controlled bass when listening to rock and jazz. I would go as far as to say it is somewhat tolerable to hear trance on K501s.
