smnfs, thanks a lot for the tip regarding the allocation size! :)
I think today or tomorrow I will receive it, I've ordered it from Amazon Germany last week and it should be in Sweden these days.

Emospence,

I don't have a clip+, but from what i've read, your memory may be a bit faulty or not really compatible with RB. This kind of thing happened with me with 2 of my cameras(sometimes the camera would read it, sometimes don't, after some months the memory stick totally stopped working), my old PSP, and i even had a problem yesterday formating a pc (turned out the PenDrive i was using couldn't boot, so i took a SanDisk one and worked flawlessly)

Can you test it with other card? i found out that the only way to avoid things like that is to buy quality memory (like the ones from SanDisk)

It's been a couple months since I had any issues.

I don't remember doing anything to solve it lol, it just suddenly.. worked. >.>

Been looking around for help with Sansa Clip + and it seems to have very poor sound quality. Muddy and recessed mids, grainy treble, and overall just poor SQ. Updated and rockboxed, no difference. I've listening for about 2 hours and now I need to charge it for the first time. I have heard it gets better after the 1st charge...but here's to wishful thinking.
All settings default... No EQ
Anyone with the same observation? I am starting to think i got a fake clip since everyone seems to enjoy thiers. :(

What are you using for headphones, and what type of files do you have on it?

Possibly fake. But Idk, it seems a bit weird why anyone would make a fake Sansa Clip, its cheap enough already.
The Clip Zip says Sandisk in front, FYI.

Well, although I'm not a fan of Sansa in their entirety it shouldn't sound quite that bad. Average granted, but not exactly that description we've been given. I'm with my very good friend,proton007, I don't think there are any fake Sansa products. If you could take some photo's and post them of the front and rear would be great.

Possibly it's faulty? stranger things have happened.

Agree. I'd also like to know what IEMs are being used.

Faulty, or maybe someone has ultra sensitive ears, or a very different musical taste.

Lemon maybe?

I've found Clip+ to have superior SQ over my iPod and GALAXY S III!

Thanks guys. I use Vsonic GR01 and TDK BA200 and Grado SR80. FLAC files with the same exact copy on my samsung galaxy y and A/B-ing with poor results. The Galaxy Y is miles ahead. Tried the same files on my laptop connected to a Fiio E10 and.....well, thing just got worse. I honestly can't even finish an entire song on the clip.

Its like eq-d with 1khz dragged down 4-5 notches. Extremely v-shaped. Ill post some pics.

Possibly it needs some burn in?

I hope so. I'm burning it in....if after a few days it doesn't change, i'll put it up for sale. Also, compared to my friend's ipod nano 6g with just mp3's the clip+ didn't stand a chance.

It sound very much like my ipod mini that i got rid of a few years ago. The one with the dot matrix screen.

I'm getting frustrated after all the hype, i think these are fake IMHO

Picture of the box, unit and my iem

Thats odd.

Even the Sandisk website's photo of the Clip+ has "Sansa" written on the front.

The best thing would be to try another unit, if anyone you know uses it.

Where did you buy it from?
