Just received the rega ear, sliver color. compared with the headphone jack output of my sony scd-2000es, the sound is improved on all aspect. Alt is more bright and transparent, bass has more elastic. And the music field is more wide. Awesome rega ear+hd600!

This is my first headphone ampli. So I don't know if there have any other amplis are better than rega ear with hd600. But I fully satisfied with it.

Well... didn't get one yet but it's in order. And so are 650s soon.

Ear's sound compared to my tube amp ordered from China was like from a different planet. It beated Chinese tube (V.A.L. E-10) 6-0. I have ear and 650s in test now but I must return them to store on monday.

Then I'll just have to wait like 2-6 weeks cause there aren't any Rega Ear's in Finland at the moment.

I must say it is a great combination too - the upfront, attacking sound of the Ear perfectly compliment the more relaxed HD600s.

Hey guys, I actually just ordered one yesterday also. The guy said it should be in before the end of next week! Do you guys think it will pair nice with the dt880's? If not I may be looking into some 650's.

Hi All,

Rega Ear and Sennheiser HD6x0 is a combo that I misses and think about often. I have never tried Ear with DT880, but if DT880 is a high impedence and low efficiency headphones like the HD650, I can't imagine that it won't do the job...

Best of luck,

Hi burrough,

I live in New Zealand, so where I got it from doesnot apply to you. I know that you can get it from Headphonics, which is based in Australia.

Hope that helps,

I've had a rega ear (the new version) and used it together with Sennheiser HD650. I didn't like it at all. I was just comparing it all the time with the sound of line out from my soundcard and was really dissapointed.

So I changed the rega to a X-Can V3 after I've talked to some people that suggested it would be good. I use it now and I like it so much more. I was really satisfied from the very beginning I got the V3.

Sad to hear. I just loved that combination. But I don't have anything to compare it really. It's said that V3 has very bright sound, that might match good with somewhat dark 650s.
