Hmmm...that is exactly why I have not tried Grado's yet.

So out of your full sized collection, the SA5k's and the PS-1's are the keepers - for now at least.

Well shoot! Now I gotta get me a pair of PS-1's to satisfy my curiosity. For an ever so brief time, I felt certain the RS-1's were my Grado sweet spot. Now that doubt has started to creep back in.

Okay Pinkie....pony up and send those PS-1's to me and be quick about it. I want the NICE pair, too. That way if I decide they suit me, you ain't getting them back. Instead, you'll just have to take my money....end of story!

Not sure -- I have been too busy buying/selling headphones and now I am looking forward to settling down a bit and seeing which ones I like best.

PS-1s will definitely stay.

Am impressed with 650 + Zu XLR'd so far.

SA5000 -- I really liked this initially but lately have found it too "cold" such that I always end up picking the other headphones. I usually do like detail, this is one of the things I really like about PS-1, but not sure if I like it here. I may keep these regardless just as my moviewatching headphones because of their excellent positioning and SO lightweight + comfortable.

I am giving them to my niece.

no headphone will ever satisfy you. I already found the headphone for me a long time ago. I just like trying different flavours. You on the other hand my friend will never ever get their. Even a he90 wouldn't do it for you.

Seriously, how many people do you hear complain about their Stax system?

Well if you absolutely favor one certain type of sound, I can see your point. However, I'd rather have a variety of headphones because generally, some types of music sound better on certain headphones. In addition, it's nice to be able to mix things up a bit...it's nice to be able to rock out with some Grados when the Senns start sounding a bit dull, and vice versa if the Grados become fatiguing.

The only caveat with having one single expensive headphone setup is that you're stuck with that same sound all the time, but if you've reached sonic nirvana then that's not a bad thing. Now that I've tried several different headphones, I'm not sure I could be happy with just one. Not yet anyway.

bass is a bit bloat really still after after 14hr very few happened , just the midrannge is getting nicer , less congested and more lush.
