Not quite, the sunfires use EQ and thousand+ watts to produce the bottom octaves.

The motors on car subs just aren't designed for home use.

Well that mustn't be wholly true since JL is essentially using car subs for these packages and from what I have read and been told is they are second to few and maybe none.
