So I was at a local electronics place that sells high end audio B&W/Magnepan and the like. Well the salesman was telling me they were going to start carrying JL Audio, Confused cause they have always been Car audio he told me they are making home subs and he said they set one up in the store to test it and he said it was the best home sub he has ever heard. Apparently it outperformed the best subs they had in the store. They look pretty neat as well but im not sure what the costs will be. JL Audio Subs

I think they go upwards of $8,000 if I remember correctly.

These are some serious subs, but there's better out there for the money if you want to DIY.

Gotham: $8,000

Fatham: $2,000

This was a few months ago, I read posts about JL's subs, but I personally haven't seen prices posted, someone posted these prices. I'm not sure how accurate they are though.

This is hardly news. They've been out for quite some time now.

My next sub will be a DIY Soundsplinter 18" (or 2 or 4...)!

I have a Fathom JL112 and it is the best sub I have ever heard for music ( very good for HT as well; I even prefer it to the more expensive Velodyne DD12 which I like a lot. It is also very compact, very important for me.
I maneged to get one shipped here to the UK for a reasonable price. I believe in the US it retails for aroound US$3,000.
They should be releasing soon the F110 model, even smaller and a bit cheaper

Yeah these are too pricey. I think I will stick to my plan of getting one of the Sunfire subs, the super junior sounds incredible.
