Could someone please give me their impressions of Rosie on Classical/New Age/Soundtrack Music. I am in market for an IEM with good clarity, detail and separation.

Please note I’m new no expert, only my ears,
I had little trouble installing balance cable, user error, too many beers, but learning, yes they will only mount one way, nice technology,

Let us know your findings
Most reviews I’ve seen are on 6 ba model,,,
I like someone to review 8 ba model which was updated,, I like mine , my bass has not been adjusted yet

Just got off the phone with AK Customer service. They updated me that the Rosie listed on their site is indeed a 8 BA Driver model. Item listing on their site has been updated to show 8 BA as well.

Below is the latest product information from their site for Rosie.
  • Custom-made Proprietary Balanced Armature Drivers (8BA per side)
  • Powered by soundrIVe technology : Dual low, Dual Mid and Quad High balanced armature drivers per side

For my own clarification, as I have been looking at a pair of these for possible purchase, did the Rosie start out as a 6BA, and was then upgraded to 8 later on, or did they always have 8 and there was some kind of miscommunication? I have not heard either, but wouldn't 8BA Rosie be basically the same thing as Angie?

Thank you to anyone willing to answer.

Yea Rosie drivers were changed from 6 to 8 in a silent refresh. 8 driver Rosie is not same an Angie since the drivers and tuning is different

Bringing this thread back from the dead. This is my first post and I’ve literally read all 21 pages start to finish.

I’ve owned the JH Audio Rosie’s since December 2017. The Rosie’s were purchased from Moon Audio at an insane bundle discount. They ran a deal with the A&K Kann where you purchased the 2 together and received a $599 discount off of the JH Rosie’s dropping their price to $300. The deal seemed too good to pass up.

That said I’ve kind of enjoyed them for the price but also came to the conclusion that had I dropped $900 on them, I’d have been sadly disappointed.

My Rosie’s are the 6 BA model. I wonder if they weren’t running this deal to clear out the old model when they quietly launched the 8 BA model.

The 6 BA’s sound decent but they’re my first venture into HiFi headphone gear and have never really astonished me. I come from mostly all home audio HiFi gear and bought the DAP for high quality music on the road in addition to using it as a my DSD and FLAC digital audio source at home so the lack of excitement for the Rosie’s didn’t create much of a problem for me.

I recently started listening to them more over the past few months and have grown to appreciate them a little more. I have considered looking at other alternatives (both IEM and over the ear) and wanted to do some research before spending more money on a pair. That brought me to this thread.

Out of curiosity, has anyone on here tried both the 6BA and 8BA model? I wonder what was gained in performance on the newer model.
