JH Audio Layla Impressions Thread

I liked the shell and colors of the Copper, but I prefer the faceplate design of the Silver.

I think they are testing the market and productiom capabilities with these special deals, consideting the other artists focused IEMs around 2k, Layla can be considered expensive at $725 more.

Interesting that they don't have much appeal in this forum. (I can imagine why)

Edit: does anyone here have A/U12t as well?

Is the copper layla completely coated with plastic to prevent oxidation?
that's actually a good question. I would expect so.

Side curiosity: Now I am thinking about AK Copper DAPs now and what treatment they have.

Can you please post a picture of the copper patina?

Thanks
Here a picture of the copper Layla. Keep in mind that I use them for my daily commute, so I might have touch them with dirty hands.

They look amazing, I like the silver even more than the copper matrix they did previously. Crazy that they're $725 cheaper than the regular custom Layla but I guess they wouldn't sell any if they were ridiculously expensive. Makes me wish I didn't already have Layla lol
Same here... This 1999 offer looks great, if it's indeed the actual layla setup it's quite a deal.

It is the Layla IEM, just an special deal as they are trying different design due to new tools.

I'm on the eternal wait now. :)

If you are in domestic US, shouldn't be eternal...
I ordered with them on sep with their 25%off, it took me around 17 days for them to finish (I'm on eternal refit now though)
I'm in Australia, so after the build I still have to wait the shipping. But I sent my 3D scan last week. I hope it will be quick as yours.

My A12t took 12w and my LX took 8w. Just want it before Christmas break. :)

The Copper Matrix does look amazing in person! This is also probably the heaviest CIEM that I’ve acquired: copper faceplate with stone/resin shell.

No deny. This thing is pretty. Being heavy is new news for me, thanks for that.

Tell us more about it... how about sound compared to other you have/had?

Not all the Layla are heavy, the copper ones are heavy since they are produced from a block of resin with CNC machine like @CrocodileDundee mentioned before. If you choose another material like carbon fiber the earphones are going to be much lighter.
