I got a chance to listen to the 13v2 and 16v2 over the other day. They both seem really good but seem to be lacking in prat,i can’t seem to get into the music if that make sense. is that a thing with all jh audio iem?

JH Audio has many different tunings. The Lola and Roxanne sound nothing like Angie, JH13v2 or JH16V2.

So I'm thinking of swiping up a pair since it can be had for $350 locally. For the price I'm thinking its a pretty sweet deal but what do you guys think? Also, its the v1 that I'm referring to.

My primary dap is the Sony NW-WM1A.

Is the sound of the Angie still a good buy in 2019 with all this new offerings from Fearless, RHA, Obravo...? I can buy the first gen for 320$. Thank you!

I just got the Angie's and so far they are very nice, but it's not your typical signature. The treble I pretty smooth compared to the typical shiny shimmery one so if you like your treble to be upfront and noticeable to a certain degree these won't do. As for the price point of $320 they are very good! I have been through a lot of iems these past few years (at one point I was buying/disposing iems 3-4x a month) and I can confidently say these are a definite keeper (but again to each their own). So if you have the chance to demo these beauties I would suggest you demo them before even thinking of buying them.

IMO, Angie is a very good iem to compliment your other iems.

I don't mean to hype and i know that these are quite old but i would just like to give my thoughts on these. The Angies are probably the most realistic iem i have ever owned! They may not be the best in technicalities but in terms of pure audio enjoyment and realism these are superb everything just sounds so cohesive and natural. Even with just the stock SE cable when hooked to my wm1a it is just pure bliss to listen to. Stock tips dont do these justice the best tips that i found are the accoustune biflange, they just open up the stage brings out the treble in a much more natural way (unlike spinfits which adds more sparkle and tends to make these a tad sibilant) and prolongs the decay to make things sound holographic.

Congrats! I would also like to add, going balanced made them way more beautiful, tighter bass, better tteble extension, mids and bass is better separated, though it kinda lost the holographic staging of se. Note that my impressions are made with the wm1a, i haven't tried other daps with the angie yet.

Oh and mids are WAY more forward now. Not katana (regular katana not wizard ed.) levels of forwardness nor zeus levels but it's pretty in your face now (just the way i like em lol).

Accoustune tips sound so good with any iem! I personally use their bi flanges on any iem and they instantly elevate the sound.

Have you tried the aet08 yet? I ordered both aet07 and aet08. Let’s see which one is best for my taste.

yep, I have the whole set from my accustune hs1551 :gs1000smile:. I like the aet07 for my final audio e2000 for the added isolation and smoothness. I used to use it for my empire zeus until I got my hands on some FAD type E tips. Never really got around to using aet08
