I know folks are waiting for some comments comparing the Angie to the Layla. Right off, I am still struggling a bit with fit. It is better than with the Layla, they were really large, these are large but not as large. The biggest difference to me was that the treble is much better on the Angie. I had some sibilance on the Layla and these are not strident at all. The Layla are the top of the iem food chain, as far as price at least, and when I could get a proper seal they were damn good. To me I think the Angie should be viewed as much better than most companies TOTL iem's. The issue with the Siren series with me is I find myself fiddling with them too much. I can never forget I have them in my ears. The Spiral Dot tips give me a nice seal and have a wide bore, they seem to give a nice sound. I have the bass set at 1:00. I have not amped these yet, and I have read they come alive with some juice. I love the sound quality of the AK100ii with most hp's and iem's and I use the Angie in balanced mode. If I seem like I am on the fence it is probably because the W60 I have is so damn comfortable and the same day I received the Angie I received a Copper Litz cable for the W60. If you want a proper comparison I need a few days for that.
While I type this I am listening to the Angie, balanced, and some Al DiMeola. I have found he provides a lot of percussion and lets me hear the separation well. It sounds really good, but with the Angie I am trying to pay close attention to layering which is a characteristic that is constantly thrown around here. I think I need to quit analyzing and start enjoying the Angie.
