Yeah I hear ya, but when you have one of the best portable amps laying around, might as well use it! (for stationary listening)

My Angie arrived today...time to listen. I can say that compared to the Layla the fit is much better. I need to find the best tips and I have bumped the bass to 1:00. I have yet to connect the balanced cable to my AK100ii.

Looking forward to some more impressions. :)

My full review is nearly finished. I should have it up by the end of day, tomorrow.

I can't wait to hear your comparison against the W60. Take your time, though. Get to know both phones. Do it right. :)

And it's published. This was a quick one. I had so much I wanted to say, and I just couldn't hold it back.

I'm switching between JVC Spiral Dots and UE600. And I have some Monster Gel on the way. I have an unopened box of Westone Stars, but I don't like how narrow the bore is, so I'd rather not use them.

I ventured down the Monster gel route with the Layla...I just tried them with the Angie. I cant get a seal with them and I have the large.

I'm quite glad that SpinFits don't seal for me, because they screw with the sound too much, and I'd hate them to be the only decent option left to me.

Not that you should feel bad for liking them. :D

I'm still getting used to how deep Angie inserts. It's changed everything I learned with the ATH-IM03. With that, and my X7i, I must use the largest tips I can find. As I write this, I'm using UE tips, Medium in my left ear, Small in my right.

Spiral Dots are my favorites, but they don't stay put for me, requiring the occasional re-adjust. Ultimate Ears give me superior bass, and right now I've got them good and secure.

Still looking forward to the Monster Gel. Hope they work well. If not, I've got a few good options.

Yeah, I use the Angie with full insertion, deep deep inside. Wait........ Hope that doesn't sound wrong! :D
