JH13v2 won't have the soundstage you're looking for. Imaging of all JH pieces are on point. I'd say even better with 13v2 and 16v2 since the sounds is so in your head it gives laser-like accuracy in terms of imaging. If you want the sound to ... er ... sound like it's coming at you from 3-4 feet away and still have good imaging I'd say go for the Layla.
OMG, your impression about the soundstage of the Layla is so true, can't agree more, not only do things sound 3-4 feet away while keeping the laser-like position precision, but they also sound BIG, with plenty of textures. Things are portrayed very convincingly, Just like how JH describes the IEM: "replicate detail of instruments in a way that makes it feel like the musicians are in the room with you". Such a masterpiece, the Layla is the best IEM I've ever heard.
