Hi. Since you have the shure aonic 50 as well can you give me a quick comparison of them please. Both of them have a discount where I live and i haven't heard too much about the jbl club one compared to others. Thank you

As @Kalli said above, the Aonic sounds more natural and may fit your interests better given you're listening to lots of piano music. The JBL is far from bad, actually I think its really good, but the clear, deep reaching bass that sets it apart won't help much with classical piano, plus I think to hear a slight elevation around 2,5-3kHz, which might not fit my tastes with classical too well. The Shure is the more linear one I think, but since I mostly listen to various electronica the JBL works very well for me.

I've only ever tried one Master&Dynamic model, they showed up in Europe rather late... Their build quality and overall design goals got me interested, but the model I tried (I think it was their first wireless one) did not wow me. A bit too much midbass (I'm very sensitive to that) and too warm overall, i.e. in addition to the midbass hump I missed treble... plus they felt rather heavy on the head. Which is not to say the JBL is lightweight, but has better cushioning and better balanced clamping force.

Thank you Kalli. I'm a piano enthusiast myself and I listen to plenty of classical piano music as well. Recently I'm listening to sviatoslav richter's brahms piano concerto no 2 and beethoven appasionata recorded in 1960 carnegie hall as well as bach's 3 part inventions. I'm thinking about 3 headphones currently, the jbl, shure, and master and dynamic mw65. Do you happen to know anything about the master and dynamics?
Nice, the MW65 are out of my price range. And I don't see any reason for that extra 100$ either.
No LDAC support, while aptX is a gimmick and Bluetooth 4.2, which feels outdated and not acceptible at that price point.
They would have to bring in a pretty good advantage if it comes to sound quality, to satisfy me at that price.

The MW65 is not worth it. I got it at 40% off and still returned it due to the cheesy ANC (not that great, unbalanced ANC effect) and fairly annoying driver flex. Buttons are also now cheap plastic vs. the nice metal buttons on the MW60. If they just replaced the stainless steel with aluminum and kept everything else the same and just added BT 5.0 with ANC, I can see it being a niche (style) winner.

I wouldn't seriously consider them if they are not discounted. Right now they are about 330 dollars in a local shop and that has got me really interested. I haven't listened to them yet, but from what I've heard they have good clarity and are neutral

Comments above are true. If you listen to EDM/Rock more than piano/strings, get the JBLs. If you listen to piano and strings more than EDM, Rock, get the Shures. I have both. I'm 90% electronic, EDM, rock, movie soundtracks. Have not used the Shures since the JBLs arrived. JBLs best wired. M&D's have great build, but just don't compete with these JBLs or Shures on sound.

Only three things bug me about the Club One: a slight emphasis in the upper mods/lower treble (I‘d say around 3kHz), that I have to deactivate ANC every time I switch them on and that they sometimes loose the Bluetooth connection. Never happened while listening, just when paused and only a few times so far. Still hope that a firmware update might solve the two latter problems, while the existing EQ might help with the first one... if I can get myself to try that, I don’t like EQ

So I’m auditioning DJ headphones with a response generally related to the Harmon Curve. After my research, I don’t think there’s any merit to the idea of hyped low/hi improving beatmatching performance. Flat sound, high SPL, durability, portability are more important factors.

I needed to get something for the purpose of DJing and none of my other cans were quite the right ones. I picked up the AKG371 & VMODA m200 (shipping is running late). To compare. Well, the 371 were immediately clearly not going to be loud enough or isolate well enough. I saw these and decided to take a flyer on them since they fit into my evaluation rubric and OH MY GOD.

Echoing the other comments, the wired sound is EXCEPTIONAL. I actually sat with my jaw agape for an hour last night because I absolutely was not expecting to be blown away in the way I have been with these.

These are absolutely the closest frequency response and performance I’ve heard to reproducing live sound on the go. They sound like a well tuned live sound system. The Bass is really exceptional. Sean Olive has mentioned that JBL now has +2db on the curve below 125hz.

with zero DSP, these actually sound exactly what I want my ideal curve/response to sound like.

I honestly hadn’t done much research on these and was surprised at the VModa style build/fold/case.

Whenever the M200 arrives, it’s going to have surprisingly stiff competition that I was not expecting what so ever. Wow.

Interesting. Good to know. My primary use case is seated at my desk, I use them wired, so I don't experience the ANC/BT issues. As for the approx 3kHz emphasis, I'll go back and listen for that.

Wow! It seems the jbl is truly amazing. I use headphones wired quite a lot so wired performance does matter to me. Jbl is now officially one of the candidates for my next headphones

I've used them on and off since I have them and they are really fun. Strong bass, yet with good structure, good comfort, compact... for electronic music an almost perfect fit.

Definitively the best general purpose DJ headphones ever. Basically a better Vmoda with Harman, GraphenePVD, Wireless/ANC and really cool cables. Nice case. Very portable. Best headphones I’ve bought in a long time.

I recently purchased this headphone but found it hot in the Treble & Bass area. So I tried Wavelet to AutoEQ. While that took care of both the Bass/Treble it also dramatically changed the sound signature, which while not as impactful, but is definitely easier on the ears after AutoEQ.

Has anyone tried AutoEQ ? Please share your experience.
