The months of rumours and speculating are over. The iPad is here. Looks like a huge iPod touch.

I think I may pass on this one. Jumbo ipod touch and didn't improve on storage space or other things that would make it technically more versatile. I think I will stick to a laptop at home and a iphone on the go

Just saw that it'll be $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB and $699 for 64GB.

I think there are options with AT&T for 3G coverage, too.

The 16GB price ain't half bad and I could actually use one. I'll probably pick up a 16GB model. I think it would be excellent for travel. Cheaper and lighter than a laptop and the 3G coverage would be very helpful where WiFi isn't available or they want $6 an hour for WiFi.

I haven't found much information yet, but I hope there's a USB port where I could connect a camera and a hard drive. That would make it a killer tool for downloading photos on the road.

And I am very much looking forward to all the Apple haters turning out in this thread. It is always amusing to watch people throw themselves hysterically on the floor over something they don't have to buy. While you're at it, go ahead and have a tantrum over Dell's new tablet and the new Honda Insight. I'm sure there's something "wrong" or "unfair" or "overpriced" about those, too.

It is hugely unfair that you spend more of your self-entitled tantrum time with Apple. Go ahead and vent at some other companies while you're at it, you'll feel better. Though you might want to avoid the HD-800, because it draws enough tantrums as it is.
