Wouldn't you feel kinda lame with a thing like that in your house? What are you saying about yourself with a piece of equipment like that? Pretty silly to me.
Also, that must be the piece of audio equipment with the world's lowest Spouse Acceptance Factor. That thing is a woman repellant.

Credit where credit is due -- KR posted this in an eye-candy thread many months ago. At least, I believe it was KR...

Moo -- yes. Any tube amp can make toast. A really good one cannot make scrambled eggs, but most of them can.

She seems awfully cool from what I've read about her, but EveAnna Manley is not exactly your typical gal.

In my opinion, nothing's wrong with mirrored surfaces if applied tastefully and in moderation. But, of course, my definitions of tasteful and "in moderation" are not ones that I expect to be shared by everyone.

Actually, I'm looking around my house from where I sit right now, and there's not a mirrored surface within eyeshot that's not on an actual mirror. Again, it's a matter of personal preference.

The Sennheiser Orpheus is the best sounding headphone setup I've ever listened to, but I'd be too embarrassed to keep its amp out in the open -- I'd probably put it in a well-ventilated custom enclosed cabinet of some sort (but I don't imagine this will ever be a real issue for me to consider anyway). Again, my taste.

It's weird... but even though I seriously dislike motorcycles and muscle cars I like machines that have exposed gears and stuff. Too many Jules Verne books or something, I suppose.

I'm getting a David C. Roy sculpture, by the way.... probably "Quest".

I love kinetic art and I guess analog machinery falls into that category.

Dusty, your amp is freaking gorgeous!!! I love the mad scientist look.

Looks the perfect thing to play back your 'all time favourite engine
sounds compilation Cd ' through.
It IS a striking design ,and there are several equally striking
turntables that would complement it coupled with something like
those Miya horn speakers[if i remember the name correctly] you
could have a rather distinctive looking[and no doubt sounding]
system.

I quite like the 'art gallery' aproach to hifi, though I would agree
it can tend towards rather masculine in most cases.
But as it has been pointed out in other threads men do seem to
make up the majority of consumers and designers of this stuff.
