I'm looking for a Joker-ish thread where by there is a long list of cans listed, tiered, and a mini-review of each of pictures.  By "Joker-ish thread", here's an example: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/433318/shootout-86-portable-headphones-reviewed-soundmagic-p30-sony-mdr-770lp-added-07-12/2250#post_7618369

Unfortunately I can't seem to find one and I don't want to spend days going through every page here in the full-size section.  Can anyone link me to a few threads like that?

This has actually been on my list of things to eventually do once I come across a lot of money, but as of now, nope. You can look at the gear section and read the reviews though.

@ BotByte.

Eh, I've read the ones post in the "Ask for New Headphones Advise" thread last year.  None of them had listed prices, so it was a pain going back and forth trying to find a price on them.  They also aren't separated enough (the off-site ones) and tend to ramble from one can to the next and then back.  Making it hard for me to quickly look over each and judge whether or not I would like a certain can.

Maybe I should pester Joker to see if he'd being willing to make a Shootout thread for the full-sized cans in his collection?

@ Ishcabible,

That would be awesome!  I'm a such a fan of these collected threads that I often go back and read through them every few months.  If I had the money, I could easily sit there and spend a few grand buying up some of the Head-Fi favorites.

How about you read. The thread I directed to you lists headphones for under $300 and lists them by price brackets with the prices listed.

How about this, when you find a can you're interested in, copy and paste to google. Search and the prices will be shown. It's not all that hard.

Haha umm Joker has enough on his plate. Just type out the headphone on the search bar on top and click the reviews tab.

Stupid phone acted up. I was going to add that I won't be able to financially justify that for a good while...if ever.

I just don't understand what is so hard spending a few minutes if you are a regular on these forums to link to a few "shootout" threads of full-sized cans.  If everyone were to just search the forums, then why not get rid of the forums.  The whole idea behind a forum is a place where someone can post and ask for help, solicit advice, etc.  If I wanted a god **** phone directory, I could just pick one up from my closet.

Thanks for your frustrating help.  Now I'm all pissed.  And yeah, I read those threads.  You try reading my **** response before you mouth off.

@ Ishcabible,

Okay, well, looks like I'm back to scouring the pages in here.  Thanks so much for trying to help me out man.  :)

Woah.  If you're gonna blow up on me like that, how about we just not talk, k?

There aren't any shootouts that I'm aware of of fullsize headphones other than the monsterous closed headphone shootout from a few years ago that I'm too lazy to find.

http://www.head-fi.org/products/category/over-ear then look for the headphone you're looking for, then click read reviews is the closest you'll get to reviews in one place, just to make it clear.

All these links are not from head-fi but if one knows how to use google translate, there's no reason not to check them:

In german, subjective evaluation, no ratings, only closed headphones for now, effort of just one guy (there's an headfier with his name... probably the same guy)- http://www.hifi-forum.de/viewthread-211-182.html
In russian, subjective evaluation, no ratings, with measurements and graphs, effort of just one guy - http://forum.ixbt.com/topic.cgi?id=90:1548
In russian, subjective evaluation, no ratings, lots of comparisons, everybody's review thread - http://www.doctorhead.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=526
In japanese, subjective evaluation, no ratings, all kinds of headphones, with measurements and graphs - http://www.geocities.jp/ryumatsuba/review.html
In English, just measurements and graphs - http://www.innerfidelity.com/headphone-data-sheet-downloads
There are others more which I forgot...

Enjoy!
