I really like the utility of the Fiio E1; the in-line remote means I don't have to pull my iPod out of my pocket, and although the first one I got fell apart (very early production), the replacement has been perfect. I've always had problems with LOD cables > T3, presumably because I have to take the iPod out of my pocket whenever I want to change the song, and for months I used it for about 6~10 hours a day at my old job, where I sorted packages and such at the post office all day. I haven't had that problem with the E1. Of course, the downside is that the T3 sounds better than the E1. Is there an amp similar to the E1 in utility but with better SQ? Or, is there a mod that will improve the SQ of the E1?
