The only people who think that the Bose are unrivaled at $100 are the bassheads who tried the Superfi 3 or the UM1 and came to the conclusion that those suck when compared to the Boses. Either that, or the drones who go for the popular stuff.

Bose IE aren't bass heavy. They're mid-heavy and have very weak treble.

My 2 cents, but I hated them. Tried my mates, complete waste of money in my opinion.
Id go with Fisher Eterna's any day of the week. Such a brilliant sound (yes, not completely accurate, but fit very well)
