I just get the feeling that the HD598 is now in "cheap" category of headphones.  Most new ones are hovering around $145 to $160.   Or perhaps this is just the result of Amazon selling hundreds, if not thousands, at $99 earlier?
 
I guess what I'm really asking is this.... Is the HD598 a $200 pair of headphones or is it a $100 pair of headphones?

Amazon is always undercutting other store's prices, it's why we all order from them. Also Sennheiser is notorious for throwing out some awesome discounts and deals which is why you got them so cheap. Consider them a pair of 200 dollar headphones.
