hello all,

i have just recently bought westone 3 from ebay. and just received it yesterday.and.. i realised that my w3's jack is kinda different from the normal w3's.i realised that the jack is same as w1's.

as you can see the jack from w1. my w3 has got the same jack.and the carrying case i received is same as w1's too.whats wrong? any of u guys having the same thing as me?

Is the jack and case of the Westone 3 supposed to be different?? My westone 3 are identical to yours. I don't understand what the problem is?

AFAIK, there is no pirated / cloned / fake W3 (or any Westone in that matter) in the market.

It is probably just Westone updating their cable design.

yes W3 changed the jack design. in the past, it was a little different

really? when did they change? i have a small note when i opened the package saying " quality control " and the date and the the inspectors signature. date was 02/10.

I dont think there are many fake W3's out there.

yep your westone 3 are genuine,and they are identical to mine so dont worry

I also got the litte note saying quality control with a date and signiture

well i bought a used pair last year with the older W3 jack. and i got a replacement with the warranty in january with the new jack.

The W1,W2, and W3 all come with the same accessories including the case and the cable. So the only way to tell if it is a 'W1' painted as a W3 would be to listen to it.

hey guys im thinking of reshelling my w3 one or two years later.but, im not sure what do i need and where do i send my w3 for reshell tho.been reading threads around.and saw " fisher hearing". any other company?and i need to get the custom mould of my ears right?
