I've just borrowed an iRiver H320 from someone and when I plug it into my computer it shows the charging screen. I heard that you need to hold down the play button in order for the iRiver to show up on the computer, but I'm not having any luck.

if I'm not mistaken, doesn't the H3XX series have 2 usb ports?
are you sure you have teh cable plugged into the right port?

Yes, I also suggest plugging in after player is turned on. As for the two USB ports, you should be using the USB 2.0 Device port.

If you continue to have problems you may want to reset the unit or reload the latest firmware.

I have had good luck calling Iriver tech support during non busy hours (ie early in the morning). They answer the phone after a 10-20 minute wait and you speak to a person who can actually help you.

Thanks for all your help guys! I turned on the player first then plugged it in and it worked. I can enjoy this little beauty now
