Is here anyone try to use Rockbox with CF->SD converter?
i have try the converter can use in iPod Video with Stock Rom and Rockbox,
It also work on iPod Classic Stock rom and emcore r867(In 859 can't install by emcore installer), but when i boot into the Rockbox in rockbox, it will Kernel Panic at ATA Error 80000000. But it can read the Rockbox system file and version in emcore boot up.
Is the emcore bug or rockbox bug?

I'd of thought that one of the reasons she likes apple products is the integration with itunes, just guessing like :)

Not tried it with a classic with converter but have done it on a mini with compact flash, that was fine.

For a stable port for Rockbox and ability to sync with iTunes buy a used 5.5 generation iPod off ebay.  The Wolfson chip on that iPod is hard to beat.

Going off the serial number, it says late 2006 iPod video. This is the model that has been rather popular here for sometime now yes?

No, this thread is for the 6th and 7th gen iPod models, named "Classic", that don't support the RB auto-installer. The one you got is the previous model, that supports it...
